[Resolved] Moved Nuke to New Server Problems

Hi

Hope some of you more educated php folks can help me with a problem.

I have moved a Nuke site to another server using a Cpanel full backup. My new host kindly installed it but I now have a few problem acca...

Warning: main(language/lang-.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/cambridg/public_html/mainfile.php on line 166

Warning: main(language/lang-.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/cambridg/public_html/mainfile.php on line 166

Warning: head(themes//theme.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/cambridg/public_html/header.php on line 31

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: themeheader() in /home/cambridg/public_html/header.php on line 47

I have checked the files from the old site which is still up and running and the new site (which has a different url) and the files are exact copies. I have looked in the mainfile.php, header.php and config.php everything the same. The database is set up with the same username and password so the only thing I can think of is that some of the paths to files are incorrect.

Can any knowledgeable php person give me the heads up on what I should be doing or have done wrong.

Thanks very much in advance as I am no php programmer but can hack a bit of code if neccessary.

Please help if you can.

Thanks

Terry

Make sure that your config.php hast the correct variables in it, ie database username and passerod (these might be differnet on your new server) also make sure that your database and tables exist.

Read the Line 88 Topic in the Common Problems Forum (link below) for an explanation of the config file, the very bottom topic I think

Hi Dashe

I will check the database variables again. Being that the url is a different one is there any file I can change to reflect the new url?

Thanks

Terry

You need to do that from the Admin -> Prefenences Section, have a look through all the settings as some of the may need to be updated, also have a look through the Admin -> Forums -> Configuration page and do the same there

Hi Dashe

I have checked the database variables and they are correct and the same as the old ones. So it's not the config file.

Thanks

Terry

Dashe you hit the nail on the head! The database exsists but theres no tables!!!

I take it that if I take a cpanel backup of the dbase on the old site and restore on the new it should sort the problem...Yes?

Thanks

Terry

I would assume so, give it a shot anyway Very Happy

Thanks Dashe

All working now. Just goes to show that you should not trust automated backups. Looked good but no tables in the database when restored.

Best regards

Terry
