Finding current version
I installed an ISP based install of phpnuke, its working well, but I want to upgrade as I believe its nowhere near new. So...
Is there a way to determine which version my site is running? A version # embedded in a file someplace? Dates?
The only indication is (c ) 2003 in the footer. My ISP claims it is 2.08, but I do not believe that....
Thanks,
Wade
ok the 2.08 would be the forum version mod
to find out your nuke version goto phpmyadmin your db utility and have a look in the config table right at the end will be a verion #
The statistics module will tell you the version number... HOWEVER after 6.9 I think it was removed.
I am thinking I may be running post-6.9... I just checked the dbase tables and see no reference to a # at all.
Anything to glean from a package... since this whole site uses a basic install of a package... here is the phpmyadmin version:
"Welcome to phpMyAdmin 2.4.0
MySQL 4.0.16 running on localhost as masotcor@localhost"
I cannot find a version under the statistics module either...
What a pain that upgrading is dependant on a stepwise patch system!
Thanks for your help gents! Any other thoughts?
Wade
Now my ISP is claiming it is version 4.5! Ugh, what a bunch of maroons.
Wade
Aha! You were right about the statistics module, I am just blind...
PHP-Nuke Version: 6.5
Thank you very much Dirk!
