Parse error: parse error, unexpected $

Sorry guys, this is a continuation from my last post.
Was following Dars instructions to fix the sigpup for new members,
http://phpnuke-uk.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=995

But it messed up somewhere, so i started a new topic.
when i click the "Your account" to siunup as a new members, or try sign in, i get the following error:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected $ in /home/gsworld/public_html/phpn/modules/Your_Account/index.php on line 1427

When i click Yuor Account, I keep getting this error above,
but that line doesnt exist, i mean the code ends at 1426.
The only thing i changed in the index.php was the code in your post,
But i switched the code back to the origional and same error.
Sorry about this i dunno what happened here.

Well surely you have an unmodified Your_Account/index.php you can use to try it again?

reply..

No I only have the index.php i edited, don't have an un-configured index.php
What should i do, i dont expect any signups any time soon,
But I'd like to fix it soon-ish

So you don't make backups!!!!

You should always keep a copy of the unmodified file, don't you still have the phpnuke d/load that it came from?

What version is it? 6.5?

reply..

Sorry i didnt do a back up. I'l try check the version now..

Here's a 6.5 Your_Account/index.php with hack added

save it as index.php and up it to your account.

reply..
