Is there a code to make the news line up one on top of the other instead of 2 by 2?

Aye, my appologies. I did alot of playing in the theme late last night and was able to alter it by deleting all the echo comands for the index. That worked. However though, it doesnt work 100% correct. Why does it start out displaying the most recent news, then jump out of order?
never mind. i figured how to delete it entirely from the front page, which is ultimately what i prefer anyway
