How do i get flash to display??
How do I get flash movies (.swf) to display in the forums that came with nuke 7.6. I sorry I don't know how to find out which version of phpBB it is.
I know the <embed src="http://URL/folder/name.swf"></embed>
but this doesn't work on all browsers, does it?
So I was wondering how to do it, any help woudl be greatly apprecaited the ppl at phpBB forums locked my thread cos the version of phpBB I am using came with nuke so its not supported by them in there forums apparently.
You'd need the flash bbcode tag.
I think I added it here once.

You know this is quite a security risk you are running on your forum then if you are allowing html?
And as you said in that post - if it works in IE but not in Firefox for example then it is down to your visitors having the required plugins, and not as you say "tag not included in all browsers". Browsers simply display the results of the code - they don't come with "tags"
Install the tag that Dar has posted then you can re-disable html in your forum and be a bit more secure again.

Correct.
They don't support 3rd party modified versions.
Thanks I installed the hack checked the code changes three times and no button appears and the bbcode tag doesn't work.
There is no button, just the bbcode.
Are you using correct tag as per the instructions??

Ya the tag I typed in is [swf width=140 height=105]url/folder/filename.swf[/swf]
it just comes up blank doesn't even show the code as it does without teh hack installed. i changed nothing in the code it tells you change as I have no other code hacks installed.
So its trying to do something as the code is not being shown in the post just the flash movie is not showing either.
