Registration Email Not Sent
Hello folks again,
Been about a year since I last posted, now I'm doing a site for a friend and its gone totally haywire.
I started with 7.7 but then read that it was pretty much mine, so I went to get v7.6. All is well except that I cannot recieve a confirmation email after registering. I have looked around for pretty much 2 hours with no hope.
After trying Analyze.php I recieved this error:

And when I try registering via the forums I get:

I am pretty much at the point of dispair and would really like someone to assist me in this pain of PHP or better still someone to log in and fix it all up.

have you tried a non hotmail addy
hotmail does have probs for some with nuke
or is it the other way around any ways
try a diffrent email addy

Same deal again.
I amnt sure what is wrong. I am using PHPNuke v7.6.
Anyhelp would be highly appricated

in your admin/forms/configuration
have you enterd in a smtp detail there ? if so remove it and try then
as i dont think theres anything wrong with your mail function because i sent you a feedback form and mail was sent or so it was reported
and after doing some digging this error seems to be more releavant to forum signups for some strange reason

I have SMTP disabled, and have nothing in the fields after it.
I am very confused!

Ok fixed the error
by reuploading the pathed files
went to register and no ERROR
but seems no email is being sent out as i havent recived anything and its been a good 20 mins so should have got it way before now
i would phone your ISP as when i looked at the phpinfo file your smtp has a IP addy instead of localhost which seemed odd to me aint seen that before

and ask the guy on the phone if thats the cause
any of the D's will proberbly be here soon and say ahh what you need to do is this

ok your problem seems to be your isp dosnt allow localhost mailing rather you have to go though the smtp route personally i havent seen one of the ISP's use this route in a long time..
try phoning your isp and ask them how they have set up the mail function
as i belive it uses an IP addy (SMTP) rather than localhost
tell them the problem your having and if you get a good tech guy he should be able to sort it out
i think ive done all i can here untill we get the answer from them

Well I assuming this has nothing to do with my webhost, the email service should work. As I have created a php site before this one, and had worked flawlessly, but Ive now lost it.
About the SMTP address not being local host, I recieved an email which came with all the log in info with the different addresss. Is that what is required? If so I can PM You it and see if that works.
