Help Request
I have just purchased the new download PHP-Nuke 7.8 and would like to know how to install it using CPanel. I already have a previous version of PHP-Nuke installed on my server from Fantastico and I'm wondering if its possible to upload the download to be replace the actual PHP-Nuke Fantastico Installation so then maybe I could just use the Fantastico installer to install it for me and if thats possible would I just upload the whole file zipped? If thats not possible, could anyone tell me what directories I would upload the unzipped files to, in order to replace the PHP-Nuke files already there. I have asked my hosting provider about this, but I was told it was best to refer to PHP-Nuke. I'm very new to this, and trying to understand it, but I don't really want to make a big mistake with the installation, so would appreciate if someone could tell me the exact procedure for installing using CPanel. Thanks in advance for your help.
You wasted your money, 7.8 is a buggy and insecure waste of time.
Stick with what you're using if there's nothing wrong with it.
I have the Fantastico installed works fine, does everything I could want. If you had read reviews of 7.8 you would run a mile from it. If there is something in 7.8 that you need there is probably a hack for it for 7.5 anyway.
As far as I can see 7.8 should come with a Government Health Warning "Nuke 7.8 does serious damage to your Sanity"
