Planning to upgrade (again)
Hi Guys;
apologies for not being around for a while (or only coming here when I'm stuck?
)I'm planning on upgrading my site. I want to stay with nuke 6.9...
so I know I need to upgrade using chatserve's patches series
upgrade Sentinel
Try and install a google tap (recommendations?/ link)
Re-install a classifieds system that works (is there one yet/ link?)
Install a calendar module (any recommendations?)
Any suggestions with regards Gallery? Leave as is, or try to upgrade? (I've recently done a nuke 7.4 and newer gallery with crap results- am not impressed with nuke 7.4- don't ask why, I just don't like it)
Any other suggestions/ recommendations? I've started putting advertising banners on the site- I've modified the banner$ code so it only shows at the bottom- is there a modified news/ banners block/ module so I can stick banners inbetween every other article or so?
Lots of questions, and I don't expect you guys to have all the answers- but suggestions, as always, are welcome....

Also, any recommendations for a downloads section? I want to make it so that it is available to registered users only, and have the possibility of them uploading the file to the server (I know there are potentially security issues with this)

there is a file for this on this site.
I tried with the news ads- either I did something wrong, or due to the changes implemented by Chat for security issues, I couldn't get it to run correctly. I tried to modify/ etc, but still couldn't get my head around it. I backed the changes out, etc, so currently have the standard banner placements.
