PHP-Nuke Security - Been hacked? or have a question about securing your site, here's the place.
Gob smacked, need help as someone got into my account!
Hi all,
I went to my site this morning and then clicked away into my forums, only to find out I wan`t even logged in, so I logged in, but after 3 attempts I couldn`t and headed straight off to my admin. I went into my account and found out the someone had entered info into 2 parts of my profile, one was interests the other in my sig, nasty comments to. My password must of been changed after this attack had been done, does anyone know how and what I do to stop it, incase it carrys on?

I have protector running from the outset of my site been setup.
I`m seriously worried, I have 670 members, the site is well over 600 MB in size, and I now have someone who has been able to access my account.
Protector obviously didnt do its job. Was it configured correctly?
Have you checked for any extra admin accounts? Given your password to anyone?
Yep, I have 3 mods and no new entrys, I`ve scanned everything, looking for options I may of missed, no one else knows of my password, which I have completly changed now, the only place I use the same password and looking back now is stupid, is on forums I join... I`m now wondering if this is where it`s come from, I got the impression of a jelious person "regarding my site", I guess it`s now a waiting game...
From now on I will watch what passwords I use and not stck to only one lol
