PHP-Nuke Newbie - Complete phpnuke newbie? want to ask a question before installing? or have installed and are now confused? this is the place.
Had it working then broke it :(
Ok so first off the site is:
http://decisive-guild.com/forum/
Tonight I was taking the plain look away and added AutoTheme and a theme I pulled from the net. All was well till I went to modify the forum colors. I downloaded and installed this theme for the forum:
http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=215568
So I get to the part where you add it to the forum using the administration panel, and do so. Now I go to Styles Admin > Management and select "edit" from the list of Styles available, selecting the one I had just installed. At the top of the "Edit Theme" page there is a theme name and a template drop box. For whatever reason I had a copy of the PHPNuke template being used on the site portal before mentioned, in the forum directory as well, and selected it not even thinking. Now I have the PHP error locking the forums and administration out. I can still access FTP obviously and cannont find the file being mentioned in the error (see below). Anyone have some pointers on recovering this? While the site is maybe a week old, there is much activity on the forum and I'd hate to have to reinstall the whole mess. And you guessed it, no backup
phpBB : Critical Error

| The themes for the standalone phpBB WILL NOT work on your phpNuke site. There are specially modified ported themes which do work. |

I should clarify that this was a PHPnuke installation, and this is the "ported version" that came in the install. The forums configuration tried to use a template (That doesnt exist) in a PHPNuke theme instead of a theme that was made for the forum. That was my fault.
I understand what you are saying though. The theme I linked to for the forum is incompatible. Ok. Is there a way to reverse what I have done without a new beginning?
Easiest option as it was a new install would be to dump it and reinstall.
