BBC News block
I am not sure if there a change on the BBC News site, but my BBC news block is no longer displaying fine. The only thing that shows is the header "BBC News".
I think the problem is around here:
$file =
fopen( "http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/low/africa/default.stm", "r" );
$rf = fread( $file, 10000 );
p.s. the old info in the block is:
$file = fopen( "http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/low.html", "r" );
$rf = fread( $file, 10000 ); It does not display.
Thanks,
dcasmr

Could also just add an rss feed

Just added it bottom of left hand side.
Hi tried that all I kept getting was
There is a problem with the RSS file URL
Please check the URL and RSS file name, then try again
I tried it as a custom (pasted the Url) and click on setup to add a custom rss link Thanks in advance
There is now a download block in the downloads section that is just a simple file install. Try that and have a look at the coding at the same time as you may see why yours has gone adrift

mmmmmm Downloaded the Block and installed now I have a block which scrolls a BBC link up the screen I checked and it the same Url
: any ideas what could be wrong?? maybe something disabled
:
Oh Ps anyone know how the font colour resets it's self?
Could try these

There is obviously an underlying problem causing this, another user here has the same problem with feeds, I shall investigate and see what I can find.
