MSN messenger type media tracker.... now playing
What Im looking for is an add on that will ... when a user logs in... search their system for any media playing and announce it under their avatar, post counts, location etc...
Rather like msn messenger does with the little headphones...
Does this exsist or does anyone know how MSN messenger does it and if the code could be shoved in the profile of users on nuke?

Doubt very much that you will find such an addon.
Imagine the situation - you have 50 people looking at your site - all playing media on their PC's... how is the site gonna cope interrogating each of these machines to find out what user is listening to what track so it can be displayed.... you think your forum was slow recently..... it would be even slower with summat like this......
added to that - many people have Firewalls stopping browsers / sites trying to interrogate their PC's.
