Is there a way to make a block with a fixed size with scroll
I'm looking to take a center block that's normally too big (tall) and put it into the home page, but fix the height and make it have a scrollbar along the side (just for that block).
I was able to do this by actually writing a script that builds the content and dumps it into a text file, and run a cron job once a minute to update it. Then I use an iframe to include the html text file.
This gives me exactly what I'm looking to do. The problem is, iframe is sluggish, I've never really liked them. Does anyone know of a way to make a block do this without using iframes? I have the block already written, but I had to convert it into an external script as described above. I should also add that I have seen those java-based auto-scrollers, and that's not what I want. I'd like it to just be a regular manual scrollbar.
