Registration Problems
Hey u guys!
Can any of you guys help please? I am having problmes with people registering to my site! They can register but it doesnt send an email to them so they cannot confirm there registration! Does anyone know who this would happen?

theres 3 straight away - check you have a valid non webmail based address in your admin preferences page and nothing entered in the SMTP part.
Right ok Dirk! So your saying not to use 1 of the email addresses from my webmail? Use a hotmail address or summat? And completly leave the SMTP part? Cause I know I have entered something in there. Were do I find all this info again to edit them? Sorry as I said I am a NOOB!
All you need is a valid, non web based email address in nuke admin panel, preferences, Administrator Email:
I have added a valid non based web mail address in the control panel! And still it has done nothing!

The only way we could check that is by looking at your admin settings which would mean you giving one of us an admin account to your site / hosting.
Ok I tried using my @vitalelementz.co.uk address! And they didnt work either! Can u advise on what I should do please? I am happy to give u my details privately if you will help me to sort it out! Obviously lol - we havent started off on the right foot! And I dont want u to fuk me - but I am sure u wont!

Which version of Nuke you got running there?
PM me the details if ya like, can't promise I can fix it tho... course that also depends on the Version you have too..... and if you wanna check my trustworthyness beforehand ask wegian or shimshon or slim how I helped them....
I think - I only think I am using Version 7.8 but I am not sure whichever 1 is on the website for download! www.phpnuke.org that is! Can u help? I happy to give u help if u may be able to fix it! Thanks Nick

As explained there - we dont actually support those versions of Nuke.
The problem you are experiencing is partly down to the version you have running
imho the best thing would be to either start afresh with no later than 7.6 using ravens bundle >here< or you could try running the NukeScripts downgrade script: http://www.nukescripts.net/modules.php?name=Downloads&op=getit&lid=100270
Ok - I have downloaded this file! What do I do with it exactly? Will it work? Will it change any of my settings etc? Do you think Postnuke is better that PHP NUKE? Which is better? I like what I got so far to be honest but dont mind changing it! What do I do with this file to make it work? Cheers Nick

There are two linked and what is the option you are wanting to try?
And as its now 0134 I am actually about to go to bed....
extract the file(s) you downloaded and have a read of the readme files they will contain... it will tell you there what you need to do.

This is the 1 - its 1 PHP file I uploaded it aint I loaded it! It says to me:
This script will install, destall or upgrade the tables for the PHP-Nuke.
Backup data tables before going on!
---- Downgrade Options ---- Downgrade PHP-Nuke 7.8 to 7.6 Downgrade PHP-Nuke 7.7 to 7.6
Once you have finished with this script, delete it from your server!

Did you run the option you require then? If so then you will now need to upload the 7.6 files as it says on the download page (where the quote came from)
Right so were do I get them m8? Do I have to delete everything and reupload?
