MySQL not working?

I am rather new to this phpnuke, and have searched around for an answer - tho I have not find any (if you have a link, just please list it and not call me a newb - I know I am Razz ). I thought I had all the DB's etc matching up, is there something that is not obvious that I must do?

Problem can be found over here for the image, and can be live (until it is fixed) over here.

Cheers for your help.

or, your hosts mysql/php could be down, it also gives that message when that happens.

Ok, going through my config.php for 3rd time. Thanks for link Smile

I will reply when / if it works.

Thanks for your help.

-Offtopic I live in "New Plymouth" Very Happy

Ok, I found the culprit, for my webhosting I need to put the suffix: hewettn_ before my db name so now it has to be hewettn_phpnuke - I had forgoten the suffix for the DB.

Now it has a blank page Rolling Eyes and in the instructions it says there should be things there Wink

Now here's the dilemma, viewing the source I see

Code: :
<!-- tinyMCE -->
      <scr ipt language="javascr ipt" type="text/javascr ipt" src="includes/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js"></scr ipt>
      <scr ipt language="javascr ipt" type="text/javascr ipt">
         tinyMCE.init({
            mode : "textareas",
         theme : "default",
         language : "",
         editor_css : "includes/tiny_mce/themes/default/editor_ui.css",
         force_p_newlines: "false",
         force_br_newlines: "true"
         });
      </scr ipt>
      <!-- /tinyMCE -->

Unfortunately that means you're running a version newer than 7.6 which I and many others don't support.

There's a big link on our home page about it and also a big red link above the submit button when posting in the forums, take a read of the topic and as you're doing a new install anyway it is highly recommended you use an earlier version.

This http://ravenphpscripts.com/viewdownloaddetails-26-224.html is a great package of 7.6.

Embarassed

Well, I see much colour when I surf net - much of it goes blury Twisted Evil

I thought that latest version be the best Wink maybe not. I will go and have a crack at that version then Very Happy

Not when it comes to phpnuke unfortunately. Laughing

And I am woundering if it is able to have addons like Image Hosting etc? Or something equilvilant, I will go and have a look at their site - add on part Very Happy

Image hosting? if you mean galleries, yes there are gallery modules for phpnuke.

Umm, it is off the phpnuke.org website - some one has done it. Link is here.

*Edit: can I put in modules for any version to this raven 7.6 phpnuke edition?

I never bother going to phpnuke.org anymore. Laughing

If its a phpnuke module yes.

Ravens version is normal phpnuke, it's just been secured properly.

Cool Cool that means the effectica.com themes will work Very Happy

The raven download finished - but in winrar it had an unexpected end of something, so I am downloading it again... Sad

// $gfx_chk : Set the graphic security code on every login screen, You need to have GD extension installed:
0: No check
1: Administrators login only
2: Users login only
3: New users registration only
4: Both, users login and new users registration only
5: Administrators and users login only
6: Administrators and new users registration only
7: Everywhere on all login options (Admins and Users)
NOTE: If you aren't sure set this value to 0

Where do I get the GD extension, and is it already in the "package", or should I leave it just as value "0"?

You don't, it's a server side hosting thing.

Just set it at 3 or 0 if you prefer.

Ok, back again Confused

Arh, woundering if this page is normal in the setup: http://hewett.net.nz/test/ because in the installation guide, it doesn't say what it suppose to say...

I am guessing I delete all the "installation" folder now?
