PHP-Nuke Security - Been hacked? or have a question about securing your site, here's the place.
Hackers google for phpnuke sites
Hackers are using search engines to search for:
by PHP-Nuke. All Rights Reserved
And then trying to hack the nuke sites they find via this method.
Is there a way to still have the aknowledgement to PHPNuke on our sites but to render it non searchable and invisible to google, yahoo, msn engines etc?
I have had numerous HTTP referes linking back to google iran using the method above

You could try making the copyright notice an image so the text cannot be indexed
NOt tried it myself but
by P H P - N u k e . A l l R i g h t s R e s e r v e d
oooh both good ideas my pickeld christmas cheer brain didnt think of..... thanks boiz!

Or build a copyright module and remove the text from the footer as a last resort.
I dont think it does matter if you change the footer copyright into a module or just an image.
Try to Google for
modules.php?name=News and see how much websites there will be listed.
A better way is to secure your website against those hackers. Ie. use NukeSentinel 2.4.2pl2 and off course chatserv patches.
