nuCalendar on 7.6 - some cosmetics...

Thanks to a lot of advice I got here I managed to set up my 7.6 site with quite some modules. I have some small cosmetic problems left though, I hope someone can help me with these.
If you take a look on http://www.neptunusaalst.be, and you choose the "Kalender" option (nuCalendar), you'll notice that when you have the Calendar in front of you, 2 things changed:
- the "é" in "privéberichten" changed to an unreadable sign
- the bullets of my 4 admin options changed to "?" (this you can't see off course
)Besides that, the upcoming events block in the upper right corner has some signs floating above it...
I would be very grateful if someone could give me some hints at how to correct this. Thanks to these boards I've learned my way around in the different files, but this is way beyond me.

does the readme include a url for support? it could be a common problem, and, if they have a support forum, will already be answered for you
