Forum Module Only Fresh re-install?
I have put some addons into my forums (PHPBB 2.0.19) a while ago and for a while all features were working - at least I thought they were. I have since changed to another computer and my DH deleted my backup files off of the other computer.
Now my tags (the buttons like above in the reply box that allow you to push a button for the bbcode) do not work - it states that there is an error on the page in the IE status area when you hover over the button (i guess that is what that is called in the bottom left corner of the IE window) but even though I have error reporting activated, I do not get anything else.
ALso, when you click smilies like to the left, they do nothing other than sit there - they do not enter into the type box.
Is it possible to just download the file for 2.0.19 and upload it and it will replace everything back to "normal" and still keep my posts? Or what would you reccomend that I do. I do not want any of the mods to phpbb.
I see no reason why re-adding the forum files wouldn't work, unless the mods you added changed non-forum files which is highly unlikely.
Your forum posts are safe anyway as they are stored in the db and hae nothing to do with the files.
That is what I thought but but i wanted to make sure before I did any damage to my site.
