Nukewrap

I asked this question about 6 months ago and all I got was people either being sarcastic or attacking me, well I have been trying most nights for about 6 months to try and get this nukewrap to work and I cant get it to work, you cant say ive not given it a fair go after 6 months!!

So..could someone please explaing the folloing in ENGLISH as I am not a programmer.

" Just call NukeWrap in module fashion with the page variable set to the URL or
location that you want to display in PHP-Nuke. If Compare URL against URL
Security = true, then you may use either the URL or the alias that you defined.
For example, an anchor would look like: "

I would very much like to understand this, I have pluged the module in and when I click on it from my site I just get a blank page, as I have said I have been trying for over 6 months and read the instructions a million times but still cant egt it to work.

As said before - you will need to have a custom menu block and you create a menu item in this block linking to the Nukewrap module which in turn calls the page you want to be "wrapped"

EG: http://www.dirksplace.com/modules.php?name=NukeWrap&page=http://www.dirksplace.com/sanscha/sanscha.htm

have a look at that link...

Now have a look where that link is in my menu block.

Now remember that this is EXACTLY how I explained this to you last time. Evil or Very Mad

I appreciate the concept but after 6 months I just cant get it to work, all I get is a white screen..its not even a white screen wraped into my site, my site goes and all I get is the white screen?

URL of your site?

and the URL of the site / page you are trying to wrap?

Is the NukeWrap module Active?

Dirk I am using the new Nukewrap2. I manage to put the url in the admin side of nukewrap but it does nothing, so I try to make the url look like yours and all I get is a blank page.

http://www.avatars.h-fm.com/nuke/admin.php?module=NukeWrap&op=http://www.chatro0m.com/chat/flash/index_hawaii1.html

Well - that URL is complete bollox...

Try this:

http://www.avatars.h-fm.com/nuke/modules.php?name=NukeWrap&page=http://www.chatro0m.com/chat/flash/index_hawaii1.html

And having now seen your source code:

Quote: :
includes/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js">

That's all folks!!

Thanks Dirk, I guess I can just use that url as a template now?

Not sue what you mean by "Includes/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js" is that part of the nukewrap?

Oh and how does the Alias work? the alias for that url is "chat" I put that in and get a white screen again Sad

No - it tells me you are using a version of Nuke that we don't actually support, ie 7.7 or above.

Que? Not sure what you mean by "alias"

you mean link?

ie

Code: :
<a href="http://www.avatars.h-fm.com/nuke/modules.php?name=NukeWrap&page=http://www.chatro0m.com/chat/flash/index_hawaii1.html">Chat</a>

Produces a clickable word "Chat" that will point a browser to the page linked.

Thanks Dirk, I'm really sorry that I came here, didnt realise you guys dont support my version of nuke. It was very nice of you to help even tho you dont support. Many Thanks

Oh and Alias is what it asks for when using Nukewrap2
