How would I go about having a small block with the headlines scrolling please?
Try editing the block so that the output ($content) is in a MARQUEE tag (HTML).
Get any other block that has scrolling in it and have a look and see how they did it, they probibly used the MARQUEE tag.
OK got a scrolling block on my site - where do I get the code for the news feed? Sorry bit dumb on this one

It was an existing block I found, I'm just making a couple of little changes, I'll whack it up for d/load tomorrow (sunday)

Right, I found this block and made a few small alterations.
With this block you can add a selection of rss/rdf feeds, the block also allows you to set the scroll speed and direction, either up, down, left or right.
Just open the block in your text editor to add feeds and change the variables.
It's in the d/loads.

this block wnt let me go 2 homepage after addin it?
No reason why it shouldn't, what did you do to it?
I've not had that problem
i didnt change nuffin since theres already a url in the modul

You tried re-installing it?
Or is there a possiblility you have some other block with a feed that may cause a conflict?
Maybe this is happening because your site already has problems with feeds, I don't know
maybe I could get access one day to check out your original headlines problem.
