Sorry, we don't support version 7.7-7.9. Have a look in here: http://phpnuke-uk.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=26050

Thanks for the advice Smile

im using <img src="linkhere"> now and for some reason it still doesnt show the image

i look at the new and it just shows the code, then after about 30 secs it disappears.

ive tried make the image alot smaller cos i thought i may be too big for the page, still the same problem.

hmm Sad

Hi Ice

Try using <img src=linkhere> and it should work. For example, on my site I'll use the following:

Big News Headline <img src=new.gif>

Be sure to put the 'new' image at the root of your directory structure, as there is a limit on characters for story titles, and if you go past it, it will corrupt the story. The site won't like quotation marks, and in some instances can also corrupt a story and you'll need to go in through PHPMyAdmin to sort it out.

I hope that helps.

Mal.

Actually you would need the quotation marks..... but the main reason it aint working is becasue of what Cypher has already mentioned.

Hi Dirk

Sorry to hijack the topic, but seeing as the question has been answered and the question kind of follows on...

On our site (ver 6.4) if I use quotation marks, it totally kills the news item. Without them it works perfectly. Is this just down to the fact that it's an old version of nuke?

Sorry if it seems a pointless question, I just like to know about these smaller details.

Thanks!
Mal

are you typing up your stories in the likes of m$ word first, by any chance? i used to do this, but the main failing there is that m$ word uses curly quotes, which phpnuke just doesn't pick up on.

i still continue to type up my stories in m$ word, for spell checking as i'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer in that department tbf, but add urls for images and links afterwards so i can get straight quotes not [i]curly/[i]
