BB-To-Nuke Updates
I've just done a fresh install of PHP-Nuke 7.6, as I've read in the community that 7.7-7.9 isn't supported, and isn't worth running.
I'm currently running phpBB 2.0.10, and need to update it, but I'm not able to find the BB-To-Nuke 2.0.10 to 2.0.11.
What do I have to do, and how should I go about updating everything?
See

Go from the first one, and work your way up one by one. Obviously, backup your files and database beforehand.

Malekii, thank you for the prompt response! Also, on the MSTrenches theme, how do I go about removing the left side blocks from the forums view?
You're welcome Dredge.

Things like this can be found by doing a search string such as...
left and block and forums
(which is how I found it)
Mal.
Now, I've updated phpBB to 2.0.21, but when attempting to access index.php, I get an error.

| You can't access this file directly... |
How do I go about fixing that? (I searched, but didn't find anything.
)
Edit: I commented out the die("You can't access this file directly..."), and it's working fine now.
Everything as far as updating the phpBB software is done. What else do I need to update? I'm currently running PHP-Nuke 7.6. Where can I find patches and whatnot to update PHP-Nuke, without having to actually update the PHP-Nuke software(7.7, 7.8, and 7.9)?
Help is extremely appreciated, as I'm somewhat new to PHP-Nuke, but thus far, I'm lovin' it.

I don't think that's a good idea, as it's there to stop people 'directly accessing'. It sounds as though you're linking, or trying to access the forums via: http://www.yoursite.com/modules/Forums/index.php whereas you should be accessing it from:
http://www.yoursite.com/modules.php?name=Forums
If you just make sure that all links to your forums use the link above, you'll be fine and you don't need to comment out that DIE code.
As for other things, you'll need:
Latest version of Nuke 7.6 with patch 3.3 can be found >>>HERE<<<
If you don't have Sentinel, you can find it >>>HERE<<<
(Sentinel is a Security module which is a REQUIREMENT if you don't want your site to be taken apart)
Are you familiar with, and using, PHPMyAdmin? If not, you can get it >>>HERE<<<
PHPMyAdmin is pretty much a requirement for being able to have fine control over your database. If you want to setup and maintain a nuke site, you need to become it's friend.
I would say that anything else is a 'nice to have' but Sentinel and the latest patch of 7.6 are the most important things you should get sorted before you do any kind of work on your site. And be sure to always backup your files and database before doing any kind of extensive work.
Hope that helps
Mal
Well, I searched in Google, as well as the community here, and actually say the direct accessing you're referring to, tried it, and still getting the same error. It's fine now, I'm really not all that worried about it.
Secondly, I already have 7.6 up and running. Where can I just download the patches, and not the complete PHP-Nuke, already patched?
Sentinel is something I look forward to running, but it may be some time before I can get it coded.
Once again, I appreciate you're help. It's been great!

How about via the big box on our mainpage.
Oh I see. Well in that case, I'm not entirely sure about upgrading your existing 7.6 installation I'm afraid. I'm unsure whether there are any database changes, so I'm not sure if just overwriting the files would do the trick. I would suggest that one of the more experienced members answer the question of correctly patching for you.

I did, but in that "big box", it's the already patched 7.6. That's all I need is the patches, not the complete package.

Wow! How do I go about applying them? (I'm sorry for the ignorance, I looked and couldn't find any instructions.)
Now - to ally any confusion here... Whch big box do YOU mean?
Dar and I are talking about the one entitled "Chatservs PHP-Nuke Patched Series"

Welp! That's where the problem is! I appreciate it!
I currently have 7.6. Which Chatserv patch do I download, 7.6? 7.7?
7.6, it will be a 3.3 patch
