Backup 0 byte files
I'm backing up my entire site to a directory on my pc.
During the file transfers 'Wise ftp' will not download any 0 byte files.
I dont know if this is a Wise ftp specific problem or if it is normal.
Will it matter in the future if I use this complete backup to reinstate my site?
Edit: For clarity, they are all index.html files
Tried using a different ftp client?
No I havent Dirk. Do you think it may be specific to Wise ftp?
Possibly - I use either CuteFTP or Filezilla - never had any problems..
I've never had this problem using smartftp either.
I'm assuming that these index.html files are all 0 byte that they never get used. Do they really need to be in there?
Yes, because it stops people browsing the contents of a dir.
