| I am writing with regards to 3 charges on my current bill for call out charges to a fault on my line. I am absolutely disgusted by this and I'm informing you that I've no intention of paying these charges so unless my bill is rectified accordingly then you may as well just cut me off now because you will not recieve a penny from me for your shocking service. A little history on this problem just to clarify this situation. My issue with not being able to recieve incoming calls on my line started as far back as June/July 06, so as not to be charged for a fault with my equipment I even went out and purchased new phone extention cables and adsl filters and the problems persisted, each time I reported this intermitent fault by the time an engineer finally got around to checking the line it was working again, The problem with the line got so bad I couldn't even have both phone and adsl conncted because neither would work, these problems seemed to worsen in wet weather conditions, leading me to believe there was definately an external fault. Anyway, finally in Oct 06 I was given a date on when an engineer would call to enter my property, he arrived a day earlier when it wasn't convienient and I've been charged for this, he said he'd return the following day never to be seen. I then had to re-log the fault and once again had to wait for someone to call, the engineer called and replaced the internal bt socket as he said it was old and possibly faulty but the problem still persisted, he left saying my adsl filters were at fault, strange that being brand new!!! so my line was still faulty and is to this day as far as I'm aware and I've been charged a further 2 callout charges. This was the final straw so I decided to cancel my existing adsl account in Nov 06 with a company I was very happy with in order to use a cable internet supplier as it was my only option seeing as I couldn't have my phone and adsl connected on your line, which kindof defetes the object of broadband. Anyway, that's the situation as it stands, I will not pay 3x£55 call out charges plus VAT, to even consider charging me is just the height of arrogance considering you no longer have a stranglehold over Britains telecoms industry, I will go elsewhere and you won't get paid. Yes I'm very angry and with good cause, please give this matter your urgent consideration. Yours D Painter |
