now thats all well and good... fine something needs an update... so i sent an email asking which file i need to update... and ask for the origanal email they said telling me to fix the problem
their responce

I was unable to find the original email sent by our admin, but this is the note on the account:
"The script they are using is vulnerable. Hackers able to scan other servers from our server. chmod'd 000 modules folder."
Please let us know if you need additional assistance. |
so they cant tell me which file/s i need to install an update on... and even if they did they have chmoded the modules directory 000... which means that I do not have access to change anything.....
they are so helpful arn't they.... .
Change hosts... they can't find the mail they sent you originally and they won't say which module is at fault so disabled the whole modules folder, including your ability to actually fix the issue they are asking you to fix... So - what has suddenly changed on your site that they make this change now... why not much earlier??
yeah i am changing hosts...
just thought it was a funny story that i would share...
as to whats changed... i have no idea... LOL
they still havent told me what the vulnerabilty was even...
