Text input limit?

Hi Folks,

6.5 with patches.

I wanted a way of easily posting short stories on my site. The "Sections" section was lying there unused so I thought I could probably do something with it.

My question is regarding the amount of text you can input into the "Sections" input box in admin. It seems okay with shortish stories but I have one that's around 13k words I wanted to put up and split into pages using <!--pagebreak-->. I'm copying and pasting the damned thing into the input box but when I go to view it, there's a lot of words missing at the end. When I go back to admin and "edit" the story the words are just plain gone.

I've tried it with html and in plain text. Same result both ways.

So is there a limit that can't be passed for input? If so, how can I change it?

Cheers,
Stevie

Text input Limit

The guy who posted that was a silly billy!

All that needed doing was to go to _seccont with phpmyadmin and change "content" from "text" to "longtext".

Thought I'd answer my own question in the unlikely event that anyone else wants to post large amounts of text on a nuke site! Smile
