Programmed Stories

I wanted to test to see if I programmed a story if it would work. Well, it seems like its not working. I programmed it for 16:00 September 25.2003 which would be 4:00pm and I am on EST. It is now 4:32pm and I still see it waiting. Is there something I am doing wrong? Also, in my forums configuration I have it set to GMT + 10 Hours. I don't even know if this has anything to do with it.

I also just noticed below the story it says:
Now is: September 25, 2003 @ 15:35:17
this seems to be 3:35pm so how do i change it to read the time here in Canada?

Thanks
Shedrock

I went back in to my website at 7:00pm and the article never got posted but yet it does not show up in the admin area as waiting to be posted.

Please help

Cheers!

Just out of curiousity could you try again, that happened here once and only once Rolling Eyes

I am looking round to see if I can find anything on it.

Don't want you to think we're slipping. Wink

I am trying it again and will let you know in a few minutes. I also have aproblem. PHP-NUKE says its 18:00 hours but it should be 19:00 so its 1 hour behind. How do I change this?

Thanks
Shedrock

Ok, it vanished again. It didn't post and I did a search on the site and its not there...

Shedrock

Have you tried

http://phpnuke-uk.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=528

I used this one and there was no change at all.

Code: :
$datetime = strftime(""._DATESTRING."", mktime($datetime[4],$datetime[5],$datetime[6],$datetime[2],$datetime[3],$datetime[1]) - 3600);

Ok, I checked my local site (test site on my PC) and the time is correct so I am assuming my host is in a different timezone and this is what that code is suppose to change?

Thanks
Shedrock

Well, this sites server is 5 hrs behind gmt (uk) and that's the modification used here to display the right time in articles.

But where do I make that change? Is it in with the same code you linked me to? I am on EST in Canada so according to my windows clock I should be on GMT -5 which is what I set in the Forums configuration. I do believe this has nothing to do with php-nuke's time setting. I chanedg it to GMT -5 and still nothing has changed. There has got to be a way around this if that bit of code doesn't work. It doesn't really matter to me but I really wanted to program the stories so that on my busy work weeks I don't have to worry about posting news. I have looked around on Nukecops and quite a few others but nothing is available. Not that I could ever dream of writing a program such as PHP-NUKE but I never understand why the authors (FB) do not address these problems as they arise. Oh well, it is free afterall. Hopefully someday somebody will find a soulution for it that works for everyone. BTW: I also tested it with 6.9 and 7.0 and the same thing happens.

Cheers!

Yes. Smile

Regards the other problem I am still looking . Wink

Another thing, when did you upgrade to 6.7, did you have this problem with 6.5?

Actually, I never tried it with previous versions of nuke. I may have a 6.5 installed on one of my systems so I will check it and see if it works and I will get back to you on it.

Well, I just tested it on 6.9 on another site I have at:
http://ww2.shedrock.com and it seems to work there. So maybe I should do an upgrade. I am pretty sure I tried it on 6.9 on my local pc and it did not work before. Anyway, maybe you can answer me on this question. If I upgrade to 6.9 would I be able to use html in my stories and news posts?

I also tried the piece of code int he mainfile.php file and the time does not change. I am still 1 hour behind my time here in Canada.

Thanks
Shedrock
