Security Code Graphic not displaying
Woke up this morning, felt great I had retrieved a disaster, installed phpnuke 6.9, fixed a load of data issues, everything seemed fine.
Logged in to my site and noticed that the Security Number was not displaying.
It was working the day before, I used it, so had others, I had changed nothing. but now for some unexplained reason the background image code_bg.jpg is not being picked up.
I have used the absolute path to view this in the browser and it finds it.
As a work around I have set gfx_chk = 0 in the config file, but am perplexed as to what happened for this to suddenly break.
Can anyone out there shine some light on this?
Alan
For this to work your host has to have the GD library loaded on the server.
Do you get the kissing image placeholder with the red X or just nothing at all where the image should be?
To answer
Dirk,
I get the red x and placeholder, the source generates the Security Code, but because the image background is not displayed it fails.
What has me puzzled is that it was working all Sunday/Monday, now it does not.
Alan
Can you download the analyzer (link in sig) and stick it in the same place as your config.php and give us a url to it please?

Do I need to turn on gfx_chk option?
Will I need to turn on the gfx_chk option?
I have placed the file here
http://www.sligoweb.com/analyze.php
had a quick look and the GD Version is 2.0.15
it also states that GIF Create support is NO
JPG Support is NO
is this my problem?
Nope! Just the link to the analyzer on your site will do.
Quite possibly... the images are in the folders?
It may be your host has been playing with some settings as at the bottom of the analyzer it says that it found the images... just that GD library has not been enabled for gif and jpg hence them not displaying.
Funnily enough Dirk - even though I am on 6.5 this was the exact same problem I was having!
